The Friday afternoon started with finding out that Dave's wheels were stolen at The USC Center on Child Welfare, while he was inside.
He came to The Wall carrying only his frame, no wheels.
It was really depressing.
So while the rest of us are going to go on a bike thief hunt, Guy and I went to a really good Thai restaurant near Glendale and Temple.
We had a really, really GOOD dinner, the food was delicious and we kinda went over our budget. Once we stepped out of the restaurant,lo and behold, we have also been victimized by the bike thieves. They apparently stole both of Guy's wheels and my front wheel while we were eating inside. It was really heart breaking seeing your bike frame hanging there locked to a meter, just the frame, as the chain sway in the wind...Goddamn it!
Everybody else came, with the look of terror in their faces, I guess now we all knows it isn't fun when it really happens to you. This time they got too comfortable and too close to us, I know what everybody else was thinking and I was thinking the same thing, we're gonna fuck someone up real bad.
We all hung around the neighborhood for a while, a whole bunch of angry crowd, ready to assault anybody with bicycles and wouldn't you know it, it was Midnight Riddazz night. Kids on bikes were EVERYWHERE.
We saw some kids around the corner playing basketball, they were around 13-14 y/o. We all came rushing towards them because they looked suspicious, later on we got into an argument with them, they were being little kids, really.
We receive a call from Annette, she was at Sunset and Echo Park and she spotted a kid trying to sell Davey's wheels. We all went there, Guy and I were in Daniel's van with our bike frames and daniel's other bike parts stacked in the back of the van.
One we got there they've found the kid and he was running towards Rite Aid/Walgreen. In a quick moment I saw Guy holding three wheels, telling us to open the door of the Van so we can quickly hide them as the Police helicopter hovering above us.
Daniel then drove the car towards an empty parking lot across the street from the Pioneer Chicken and parked the car away.
As this was happening, I wondered what could've happened to that kid.
I do know what happened, but I'd like to keep it discreet, you will hear it through the grapevine, not from my blog.
Cops came, we drove off and the rest of us rode away.
Daniel dropped us back at American Hotel, here's what we got.
Later we came back to downtown to celebrate, while trying to steer clear from echo park.
